Worth Knowing
Different Requirements.
Different Requirements.
Same Commitment to Quality.
Building in South Florida means understanding different wind zone requirements. Here’s what you need to know about our service areas.
Palm Beach & Martin
Outside the HVHZPalm Beach County and Martin County are outside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ), which means standard Florida wind provisions apply. Homeowners often have a wider selection of products and typically experience shorter lead times.
Broward & Miami-Dade
Inside the High-Velocity Hurricane ZoneBroward County and Miami-Dade County are inside the HVHZ, where windows, doors, roofing, and fixings must meet stricter, HVHZ-compliant approvals. These areas also have tighter inspection requirements to ensure maximum storm protection.
